Complex Cataract Surgery

This video demonstrates Phaco-chop technique used by A/Prof Kong to perform cataract surgery in an eye with dense white cataract.

XEN Stent Implantation

This video demonstrates the implantation of the minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) stent known as the XEN stent.  The benefit of the XEN stent is its good safety profile, can be inserted with minimal dissection of tissues and often can be completed within 10 minutes.

Preserflo Stent Implantation

This video demonstrates the implantation of the minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) stent known as the Preserflo stent.  A 9-0 nylon intraluminal suture was used to prevent early hypotony (low eye pressure).

Tube Shunt Surgery (PAUL implant)

This video demonstrates the implantation of glaucoma tube shunt for the treatment of uncontrolled glaucoma.

Complex Traumatic Cataract Surgery

Cataract Surgery was performed for a patient who developed cataract following trauma.  The eye had loss ~270 of zonular support to the lens from the trauma.  A/Prof Kong expertly completed the surgery by the use of capsular retractors in areas of loss of zonular support.
